The dream that God gave us

A dream that was born in Baja California and today inspires young people around the world.

It all began with a vision of a fire that expanded throughout the world and a light that was born from Tijuana Mexico and illuminated every corner of the earth.
We would never have imagined reaching the day where we could tell so many promises that God has entrusted to us, and so many stories that we have been able to live hand in hand with God, listening to His voice, His heart, His agenda and taking steps of obedience.

We don’t just believe it will happen, we are creating it.

ILUMINA

At the time it was thought to be a one-time occasion, it was never imagined that it would become what it is today, impacting and mobilizing thousands of young people to become the light of this world in every sphere of influence in society.

That’s what Ilumina is about, impacting and mobilizing young people to be light, to be missionaries in their cities and in all parts of the world, in every area of ​​society, where God has called them to be and where they have a passion or gift to serve and represent the Kingdom of God in that place.

Fundamental beliefs

Illumina Ministries believes and affirms that the Bible is the inspired and authoritative word of God and the absolute point of reference for every aspect of life and ministry. It reveals that Jesus Christ is the Son of God; that people are created in God’s image and likeness; that He created us to have eternal life through Jesus Christ; that although all people have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, God has made salvation possible through the death on the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ; that repentance, faith, love, and obedience are appropriate responses to God’s initiative of grace toward us; that God desires all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth; and that the power of the Holy Spirit is demonstrated in us and through us for the fulfillment of Christ’s final command, “…Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15). As well as to live an active faith by living and representing Christ in all our actions and in any sphere of society in which we find ourselves or to which we are called to be and exercise some type of authority in it (Matthew 5:13-15)

1. God is the reason: He is the reason why we live and exist, so in everything we do we seek that God receives the Glory and Honor. (Psalm 24:10; John 1:14; Philippians 4:20; Philippians 2:11; Romans 11:36; 1 Corinthians 10:31; Zephaniah 3:17;

2. Bible: The Word of God is the standard by which we live and make individual, social, and ministerial decisions (Hebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 119:105; Psalm 119:9; Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 24:35;

3. Holiness: We are called to lead holy and righteous lives that exemplify the nature and character of God (Leviticus 19:1-2; Psalm 51:7-11; Jeremiah 18:1-11; Ezekiel 20:10-12; Zechariah 13:9; Luke 1:68-75; Ephesians 4:21-32; Titus 2:11-14; 1 Peter 2:9, 21-25; 1 John 3:1-3).

4. Sharing: We are called to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with those who do not know Him (Psalm 78:1-7; Isaiah 40:3-11; Micah 4:1-2; Habakkuk 2:14; Luke 24:44-48; Acts 3:12-26; Acts 10:39-43; 1 Corinthians 9:19-23; 2 Corinthians 2:12-17; 1 Peter 3:15-18).

5. Community: We are called to live in fellowship with those who profess the faith, committing ourselves to the Church in all its expressions within its cultural context. (2 Chronicles 29:20-30; Psalm 22:25-28; Psalm 122:1-4; Matthew 18:19-20; Acts 2:44-47; Acts 4:32-35; 1 Corinthians 14:26-40; Ephesians 2:11-18; Hebrews 10:23-25).

6. Service: We are called to serve and contribute to the purposes of the Kingdom of God in all spheres and areas of society (Deuteronomy 15:7-11; Deuteronomy 24:17-22; Psalm 112:4-9; Proverbs 11:10-11; Zechariah 7:8-10; Matthew 5:14-16; 2 Thessalonians 3:13; Titus 3:4-8; Hebrews 13:15-16; James 2:14-26).

7. Prayer: We are called to participate in intercessory prayer for the people and causes in God’s heart, as well as seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit by listening to His voice, including fighting evil in all its forms (Genesis 18:20-33; Exodus 32:1-16; Judges 3:9, 15; 1 Kings 8:22-61; Ezekiel 22:30-31; Ezekiel 33:1-11; Matthew 6:5-15; Matthew 9:36-38; Ephesians 3:14-21; 2 Thessalonians 3:1-5).

8. Marriage: As taught in God’s Word, we believe that marriage unites a biologically born man and a biologically born woman in a mutual covenant commitment to For life. (Genesis 2:23-24; Matthew 19:4-6). The marriage covenant provides intimate companionship, pure sexual expression, and procreation, and reflects the relationship between Christ Jesus and the church. (Ephesians 5:31-33).

9. Sexual Purity: We believe that God commands us to be sexually pure and that no intimate sexual activity should take place outside of marriage. We also believe in sexual purity in the content we consume and offer in any area or category (Proverbs 5:15-19; 1 Corinthians 7:1-5; Leviticus 18:1-30).

10. Gender: We believe that God created two unique genders: male and female. Altering or changing these created identities does not represent God’s intentions for His creation and goes against the teachings of His Word. (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 139:13-15).

The Global Body of Christ is welcomed in every expression of Ilumina, and our operation as an organization is based on a biblical worldview and perspective of the Kingdom of God.

Impact

Our second calling compels us to reach and impact new generations and the lost. Therefore, we have a youthful and relevant focus in everything we do. We innovate ways to reach youth with unique content and foundation in God’s Word. Being creative in each of the expressions and programs we run as Ilumina.

Disciple

Our first calling compels us to love, serve, and come alongside the global Body of Christ.  This makes us an interdenominational organization. We partner with any church, ministry, organization, or individual who puts God first and aims to serve their neighbors. The Global Body of Christ is welcomed in every expression of Ilumina, and our operation as an organization is based on a biblical worldview and perspective of the Kingdom of God.

Mobilize

Our fourth calling is mobilization. We don’t want to simply impact this generation; we want to mobilize them to be the salt and light of this world, to be the hands and feet of Christ in each of the seven spheres of society: in their homes, cities, countries, and all nations. Bringing the Kingdom of God to earth and its principles to every social sphere in which they find themselves and sparking the next wave of missionaries in every corner and area of ​​every nation.
